Diatool’s custom, three-step monoblock reamer consolidates these into a single tool, eliminating two tool changes. In addition to providing time and cost savings, the uneven spacing of cutting edges produces highly cylindrical and round bores at faster feed rates, outperforming single-point tools, according to the company.
The tooling requires no dial-in adjustments, which simplifies use and reduces the risk of scrap parts. Enhanced chip removal prevents stringy chip buildup, reducing downtime and part damage.
